Senior Director of Finance

David C. Read, Jr. is Senior Director of Finance for SAK Healthcare.  Mr. Read is a veteran of the senior housing industry with over 30 years of experience and a background in finance, insurance and skilled nursing operations delivering operational expertise and solving difficult challenges.  Mr. Read has collaborated with public, private, and not for profit providers across the country. Mr. Read has been involved with takeovers, debt issuance initiatives, workouts, turnarounds, and new business development.

Prior to joining SAK, Mr. Read was the CFO for three Midwestern skilled nursing portfolios with over 2500 beds in the aggregate. Mr. Read was the Executive Director for a new construction, private pay, assisted living facility in Illinois and he spent several years as Managing Director for a large Chicago accounting firm advising senior housing clients in areas of reimbursement, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. Mr. Read is a registered certified public accountant (CPA), a licensed nursing home administrator, and a licensed property and casualty insurance producer.
